What is the Depository Participant Id (DP ID)?

  • DP ID is a number allocated by NSDL to the Depository Participant, which could be a broking firm, bank, or financial institution which keeps an account of your Dematerialized stocks.
  • For NSDL, the DP ID will be 8 digits and should start with the initials ‘IN’. In the case of CDSL, DP ID is not required.
